After six weeks on the road and their third coast-to-coast tour this year, Brooklyn-based Outernational is back on their home turf.  Tonight,  the five-piece will not only be marking their homecoming but also celebrating the release of their latest EP, “Future Rock,” with an intimate show at 92YTribeca.  Joining them will be youthful and precocious soulful rockers, The Skins. The band recently received coverage on NY1’s “Sound Advice” segment back-to-back with Madonna and Bob Mould, announcing this  gig and showcasing the “We Are All Illegal’s” video.  Come “future rock” with Outernational at 10pm; all ages welcome!

My socks were sufficiently rocked and my face, utterly melted last night by a double dose of satisfying rock ‘n roll spirit.

The Hunt Club broke in the upstairs lounge at Bowery Electric a bit more (It only recently opened for performance purposes), and the band played a solid set drawn from their recent record Hello Futures.

My patience grew thing waiting for Alberta Cross to get back in town, but the wait was finally over and the five-piece, though presumable tired from a 2 month tour, gave it their all at Bowery Ballroom and we ecstatic to  be home.   The evening was quite the finale, performing superb set of old and new material and a cover of the Rolling Stones’ “Bitch.”  🙂
