Every so often there is a combination of bands that is difficult to top. Tonight is one such pairing. Austin, TX’s Bright Light Social Hour travel north on their tour to pay NYC a visit and join friends, Black Taxi for the ultimate night of quirky dance rock. It’s one of several shows that the two bands will be playing together in the coming months, but this evening is particularly special, as Black Taxi honors the release of their new single, “Tightrope,” which you may enjoy here. It ramps ups even greater anticipation (They’ve been teasing us with new tracks at their recent gigs.) of their sophomore full length record, out in early 2012.
