Australia has some incredible bands, and my favorite is hands down, Cut Copy. The electro-rock group produces addictive and contagious music that, depending on your mood, can get you up on your feet or keep you relaxed. Their second album In Ghost Colours is a top album in the Rocker Stalker charts, and upon hearing the news a couple months back about a new Cut Copy album, I was jumping for joy. While that’s in the works, download their new song, “Where I’m Going,” for free!

It seems that the last several posts have included NYC’s The Shake, and it’s because these boys have been busy! Tonight, they landed a last-minute gig at Don Hill’s, probably, in my opinion, one of the most bizarre venues in NY. They’ll be joined by Haakon’s Fault. The show is 21+, starts promptly at 9pm, and is $15 unless you RSVP to! More details here.

Also, tonight, The Walk Ons, Brooklyn-rock ‘n roll quartet will be playing some feel-good tunes at Mercury Lounge for a band birthday. Get on your dancing shoes and make your way over to the venue around 9pm.  21+ as usual, $10!
